 wet on wet painting

wet on wet painting is one of the most fun ways to explore water and color…the idea is not to create anything in particular, but instead to get lost in the colors and materials themselves…

all you need is:

water
liquid watercolors or food coloring
watercolor paper or other thick absorbent paper- paper towels and coffee filters work well too!

- wet the paper or surface by brushing on clear water
- drop pigment onto saturated surface from a brush or dropper and watch the color spread
- keep going until you feel satisfied

we explored this technique with our friend susan hable of hable construction at her studio and had so much fun!
