we love, love, love shadow play at arrow…years ago, we found an overhead projector at the thrift store and it is now a signature part of our days at arrow…but, the feeling is easy to recreate, as long as you have a simple flashlight or even candlelight…or even your streetlight outside, if you live in a more urban place…

place objects & shapes in front of the light, and of course, even your hands, and see what happens…

magic!

also, exploring at night can be so magical for children…seeing the familiar spaces & places in the dark can help them feel their world expand…watching a candle flicker or a fire burn can also shift their experience to one that feels more magical.
